Hisanohama Children’s Association Workshop, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture
In Kunohama, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, many children lost their families, relatives, friends, and homes due to the earthquake, tsunami, and large-scale fire caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Moreover, it was also damaged by the nuclear power plant accident.
We went with Santa Claus to deliver to those children Christmas cards that were lovingly made by the children of Osaka’s Kids Art Land, as well as Christmas presents that had been donated by many people.
On the day of the event, we enjoyed a Christmas party with about 50 children from the children’s club, and also held a workshop using paints.
The result was a wonderful painting filled with each person’s thoughts.
