Children in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture lost a lot of things due to the tsunami damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
We wanted to give these children mugs with their own drawings printed on them as “treasures filled with their feelings,” so we held a drawing workshop in Iwaki City.
On this day, 250 children in Iwaki City received mugs with their own pictures printed on them, and children in Osaka received mugs with pictures drawn to express their feelings of “I’ll always support you!” I made a set and gave it as a present. The children in Iwaki City were truly delighted with the unprecedented present. In return, they conveyed their joy by performing hula dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, and jumping rope.
